Fremont Street Experience

What is the Fremont Street Experience?

Also known as “Downtown Vegas” and “Old Vegas”

The Fremont Street Experience (FSE) opened in 1995

Location: A section of Fremont Street located in North Las Vegas closed off to traffic between Las Vegas Blvd and Main Street.

It is 0.8 miles long (1.3 km), open 24 hours, and free.

Is it safe?

While on the experience, you are safe, and there are patrol officers. But it is surrounded by a non-so-safe area of town.

Can I walk there? – I wouldn’t.

How do I get there?

Request an Uber/Lyft and set your destination for “Golden Nugget Hotel.” It is the easiest location for drivers to drop you off, and pick you up. Pickup is located inside the Golden Nugget parking garage. A typical Uber ride from center strip will take 10 to 25 minutes depending on time of day and traffic, and costs about $12+

Just some of the hotels on FSE:

Binion’s, The D, Four Queens, Fremont, Golden Gate, Golden Nugget, Plaza, and the new Circa Hotel which opened in 2020. Adults over 21 can walk freely into/out of all these casinos

Pets and Children:

Pets are NOT allowed. Anyone under 21 is allowed on the FSE, but this is Las Vegas. Lots of adult activities going on, and scantily-clad entertainers. IMHO, the FSE is inappropriate for children- but so is all of Las Vegas.

Attractions on or near FSE:

Mob Museum, Neon Museum, Slotzilla zip line, Container Park, Heart Attack Grill, Sigma Derby horse game, aquarium, dancing, people watching, get your picture taken with (insert adult content here).
